How does Low-E Work?

Up to 93% of the summer heat gain and 80% of the winter heat loss occurs as a result of radiant energy. Our low-e products block up to 97% of the radiant energy. In the summer time, low-e radiant barrier insulation keeps the heat out and the cold in. In the winter time, low-e radiant barrier insulation keeps the cold out and the heat in. This is what we like to call "the thermos bottle effect."
